Ser Donnel Locke 2nd child of our Lord Ondrew and his first wife, the fair Lady Emelyn. Newly Knighted in the name of the Seven, he has finally accepted accountability to his lands. His love of his father holds no bounds, yet his love of his lost mother is still evident. He sees her daily in his sister Elinora, whom he loves so much, yet worries about, for she has grown to love battle as much as he.
His respect of his Mother Celia is apparent, though he understands that she chooses her own children in the manner of all things. Thedric the oldest, though a fine lad, is at times too competitive with Donnel, sibling rivalry be damned. Hobbs is more akin to a brother for he is young and willing to follow. The Bookish Blane is a Maester apprentice wililng to learn the ways of the old. His best companion is Nel, who even though isn’t a true Locke, has came to be as a brother to him. Nel is ever willing to uphold the ideals of House Locke and protect Lord Ondrew.
Though he is opinionated, unmanagable, and has no talent at stewardship he is still the heir to House Locke .. though he wishes not be. He has grown very fond of Jousting, a sport that may allow him to travel and see the world. His stubbornness has pained his father for he won’t admit when he is wrong, though with this experience of being wrong makes him master of it. He loves his drink, his lance, and especially his ladies,. who love him as well.
He has proven as of late that he can become Lord of House Locke. His decision making is far better than it was just a short time ago. Perhaps the Castle Locke and the Banners of our Lands will carry on, under the young Ser Donnel. The ways of the house may escape him at times, but he has shown that he is willing to learn his place. The Banners has been called twice in his lifetime, both times they have proven worthy the calling. Lets hope in time, that they prove themselves under Ser Donnel. “By diligence, not by idleness”.
